I have been taking photographs since childhood, always as an amateur, while the rest of my life progressed. As it does for many people, the real world of career and family made the hobby take a back seat and my photographic activity had dwindled until I was introduced to the digital camera by my son in 2002. Without the complexity of the darkroom, which I loved but which was always too complicated to fit into my schedule, I could now learn Photoshop and periodically escape to the digital darkroom. I was still working, but the kids were older and I could devote more time to the hobby I had loved earlier.

Since getting that first digital camera in 2002, I have retired and we have relocated to Colorado, a treasure trove of photographic opportunity. Subjects close by, as well as those developed through travel, make up the subjects of this website (plus a 1997 visit to Africa in the film days).

It has been a joy that I hope to keep pursuing in the years to come.
